WEIRD DOLL WEDNESDAY, PART 148

 A family from Guatemala.

I wonder if the fabric is regular size, or if a special weave is used to make the dolls clothes. The dolls aren't very big and a regular weave/print seems like it would over power them.

  1. The fabric does seem to be woven to scale. The scale of the baskets and hat also demonstrate masters of the miniature at work. One suspects these dolls are a labor of love.

  2. Good question!
Oh their poor baby, looks a bit like Frankenstein, but we love it just the same.

  3. Maybe it's done by a tiny weaver, a bit like a Borrower. x
